Happy Easter to all of our customers and friends!
I am a bit behind on blogging, which is naughty because we were lucky enough to see some great mosaic work on 12th March at TomatoJack Arts in Berkeley, Gloucestershire. TomatoJack is owned and run by Angela Williams and Lynda Knott. Apart from doing Mosaic commissions, they have a regular group of mainly ladies who come and work on mosaic projects each week. Angela and Linda thought it would be nice to exhibit the work their students had done over time. The exhibition is still on certain days until April 10th so if you fancy visiting contact Angela and Lynda for the exact days they will be open. You will see from the pictures I am posting the standard is high and lots of variety in the pieces of work. Some stand out: the Zebra that was well lit to accentuate the pink glitter tiles, The seahorse made completely of seaglass; and the mirrored rearing horse. However there are a lot more other than those and all worth a look. I understand some of the ladies were reluctant to show there work but we were glad they did. We had a lunch together, then back to the studio. Visiting on the 12th were Janet and John Adey, Jane Bracey and Russell, Yvette Green and Jo Mooreland. Our BAMM Coordinator,Caroline Jariwala, was out of the country doing mosaicy things in India, but will be back in time for our next meeting on Easter Monday which will be held here at Mosaic Supplies Office. Our region is large and if you are in the West Midlands, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Avon, Shropshire or Staffordshire; get in touch via our Facebook page. If you love mosaics we want to hear from you! Below are pictures of the Mosaic Medley Exhibition.
