Look out for special offers in the New Year and new additions to our inventory!
Those of you who know me are aware that I am not a professional artist and came to mosaic art late in life. Ever since I started making mosaics at a half day course at Fishbourne I have never looked back and with our business, Mosaic Supplies Ltd, I am a part of of all of your colourful worlds supplying you with the materials to make your mosaics, what could be better! Well, I would like to be able to draw, and have that special something that I observe in you talented lot; an ability to instantly put pen to paper and come up with a fantastic design. Sigh… I guess its built in, or learned during your art degree years!
In October I was in a workshop on the Sunday after BAMM. The workshop was completely different than I thought but nevertheless quite interesting cutting copper and lead sheeting to make height in our mosaics. Yvette Green was in the workshop and did a beautiful design ( can we have a finished one posted here Yvette?)
Has anyone tried Bisazza Opus Romano in their mosaics? For some reason I never liked it, until I tried it in a couple of mosaics and its easy to cut and work with and I liked how it looked in the finished mosaic. It is now available on our website in several colour mixes.
The stunning colours of Smalti are always amazing to me when I receive a delivery or have to weigh out materials and make up mixes. The uneven cut of the glass causes it to have areas of light and shade on one piece. I counted 350 items on the colour chart, We have almost 200 in stock at present, but in Orsoni’s Colour Library there are many more as shown by the picture below:
Again, we both hope you all have a happy and safe Christmas in New Year
